Painting floors was once a very popular find in older homes. It was a way to cover up what was often a not so stunning, plain wood floor.   But now, painted floors add big time style and charm.  Clients are requesting painted floors to add a little whimsy to the design of their home and to bring in instant Low Country style in a new construction home.  Patterns can be personalized using your own color palette and design aesthetic, including polka dots, stripes, hexagons, and the classic cross-hatch pattern.

Here are some photos from the Retirement Home on the Golf Course for our Kiawah Island clients. They tried 3 different floor patterns in the dining room, guest bedroom, and the second master  for a totally different Lowcountry look!
