New Home In Cassique Golf, Kiawah Island Club

Lovely new home designed by Swallowtail Architecture for the exclusive Cassique Golf Community on Kiawah Island. The homes European-inspired design has classic appeal with stucco, a cedar shake roof, board and batten detail around the windows, and dormered windows.  A steep roofline conceals most of the second story from street view.  (The Cassique Design Review Board requires that the second story be built into the roof.)  Just off the main living area is an elevated pool deck with spa. A covered porch area adjacent to the pool is the perfect shady spot for a summer-time afternoon lunch. The elevated home design is essential for Lowcountry homes to protect from ocean water storm surge when you are so close to the coast.  A large den over the garage can be used as an entertaining space or a home office.
