Project Description

New Ocean Front Home in Isle of Palms

An Under Construction Sneak Peak

This new construction home on Isle of Palms is nearing completion, but we just couldn’t wait to show you the details.

Starting with the breathtaking views of the Atlantic Ocean and the white sandy beaches that are you backyard playground. This home is the essence of what it means to live on the ocean on the coast of South Carolina in luxury. This home is all about the views and being able to enjoy them throughout the home. With a reverse floor plan, the main living areas are upstairs to take advantage of the best views. A wall of sliding doors from the great room opens to the covered porch that overlooks the pool. Steps away in the kitchen, a built-in breakfast nook ensures you’ll see the sun rising with your morning coffee.

The homes coastal elegance is relaxed, yet refined.  The cabinetry in the kitchen has a furniture quality with clean lines that evoke a modern undertone. We used three primary finishes for the cabinets. The large center island is a gray stain with mossy green undertones. The two glass fronted cabinets flanking the corners of the kitchen have a light hickory natural stain. The symmetry of the display cabinets brings elegance to the space while also drawing your eye upward to the peaked ceiling with exposed trusses that have been painted white. The third finish color on the remainder of the cabinets is white–tying the room together. These three finishes blend with the natural tones of the wide planked hardwood floors, creating a seamless, and serene feeling throughout the space.

The wood tones are carried into the great room with stained wood, nickle-gap paneling inset in the coffered ceiling. To create a softglow, we inserted LED rope lighting within each coffer. It creates a dramatic mood in the room in the evening hours.  Downstairs, pool side, the details continue in another den area with custom cabinets for a built-in bar. There’s easy access to refreshments when enjoying the pool and sitting beside the outdoor fireplace under the covered porch.     The entire back wall and the cabinets are painted a soft gray with blue undertones.  Another wall of glass sliding doors gives you easy access to the pool and the private boardwalk to the beach.

There’s more to come, and we hope you enjoy this sneak peak of some of the details of this home.  The big reveal is coming this fall with professional photos.
