Kiawah Island Egret

New Construction Home

A rare opportunity to build a custom, new home on a open lot on Kiawah Island.  Views look out on the maritime forest of native hardwoods, as well as a lagoon.  The home is a short bike ride from the Kiawah River, Egret Pond Fishing Dock, Blue Heron Pond Observation Tower, and Osprey Point Golf Course.

Symmetry is of the utmost importance with the exterior of the home.  The front staircase splits to either side just before you ascend to the porch and front door.  Two sets of double hung windows flank the porch and are capped by a single window in the steep peak of the roofline.  A large eyebrow overhang delineates the main floor from the second floor and showcases such details as exposed rafter rails.

Open the front door and be greeted with views that extend through the home out to the large pool deck that overlooks the lagoon.  The outdoor space is easily accessed from all the lower living spaces, including the master suite, dining, and living room.  The kitchen features stunning finishes including marble countertops, custom cabinetry, and a large, center island with a breakfast bar.  In the adjacent keeping room is a beverage center.  Upstairs you will find four, large ensuite bedrooms and a family room/media room.

The home’s design harkens back to the early days of coastal living where the cool breezes come off the waterways and the warmth of the sunshine envelopes you with peace and serenity.  The birds sing a song of contentment.  Nature exists around you and there are those special moments of watching time go by.
