Swallowtail’s architect, Rachel Burton AIA and her client Ann Mitchell, were recently featured with two other local architects in an article in The Post and Courier about Architecture for Aging. Reporter, Sybil Fix, investigated the issues facing older Americans and described some of the solutions architects and home owners use to solve them. The article details home design features help older adults to maintain full mobility and a high degree of safety in their homes.

“It’s really about examining every room and thinking about the use of the spaces and the size of the pathways for everything to be more accessible and convenient,” Burton says.
