Summerville, South Carolina; June 1, 2018 –– Architects Creating Homes’ awards Swallowtail Architecture four residential design awards for ArCH’s 2017 Design Excellence in Residential Design. The winners of this international competition were announced June 1. Burton’s winning designs include a coastal island renovation, two marshfront homes and a fourth award, in Dunes West, for “The Blue Kitchen.”
Rachel Burton discusses three of Swallowtail’s award winning projects on Sullivan’s Island:
“With prices going up on Sullivan’s Island, here are three examples that show how being brave and taking the risk to do high-quality design and construction can pay off,” “A home with international recognition of its design has affirmation of its value and its livability.”
Settled in the 1600s, Sullivan’s Island is today a sought after community with beaches and an amiable atmosphere. A slow-paced life is still attainable here. Burton’s winning designs include a coastal island renovation, two marshfront homes, and a fourth award, in Dunes West, for “The Blue Kitchen.”
